Several years ago, my three siblings and I had the daunting task of downsizing my father from a two-flat in Chicago into a retirement community. Even with all of us, it was a time-consuming process. Since then we have had to do two more moves due to his progressive illness. Many people do not have the luxury of local children to help out. For those that do other obligations may leave little time for family members to help with the moving. That’s where Adaptive Moving Planners comes in!
As someone who has personally gone through more than two dozen relocations, including several state-to-state moves and who has helped with numerous other relocations, I can offer several different services to help keep things running smoothly. With both the experience and empathy of knowing the stress a move of any size can bring to an individual, and/or their family members, my services will be adapted to your specific needs. We specialize in state-to-state moves!
Many people are now moving into retirement communities some of which are in Florida or Arizona. Or, maybe a relative lives out of states but their circumstances have changed and you want them closer and back into the Chicago area. Of course, there are also those two career families and professionals who just don’t have the time to arrange for a move locally and especially not one long distance. Sometimes, those moves are for a new job, but your current job leaves little time to plan. We can help!
Our goal is to make this transition as easy as possible by helping with everything. We can help you find a realtor and/or work with you to down-size your belongings. We can even provide a list of unwanted items for a tax write-off to a charity of your choice and we can unpack your boxes when they arrive so you don’t have to do the work!
